Design Assistant — Aiken
Nandina Home & Design is seeking an intelligent, detail-oriented and dynamic individual to serve as a design assistant and sales associate. This person must be reliable, focused and self-directed with a high level of initiative. A successful candidate will be open to feedback, collaborative, be highly resourceful, a natural problem solver and quick learner. This person must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment. This role will require delivery of outstanding customer service to high-end clients, positive, professional and concise communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, are a must. This role requires someone very comfortable working with numbers (pricing, calculating percentages, inputting product SKUs, etc.), as well as a high attention to detail. Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously are required.
This position will perform a number of duties in direct support of a full-time designer by assisting as follows:
Responsibilities:
Design Assistant
- Assist the Designer with design projects from start to finish, including initial meeting notes, selection of product, creating visual presentations, product purchasing and follow up, as well as project installation and implementation
- Order samples for projects, maintain client files and prepare written client correspondence as required
- Input all product detail efficiently and accurately
- Prepare client proposals and corresponding invoices
- Prepare purchase orders for product being ordered; effectively track, monitor and update the timing and delivery of these orders
- Help coordinate and plan client deliveries and installations
- Proficiency in design programs, like CAD and SketchUp, preferred as many projects require working directly with architects, contractors and builders
- Must have a willingness to handle many behind-the-scenes tasks, such as unpacking orders as they arrive, taking out trash, cleaning up the design workspace, putting resources away, and packing up prior to installs/deliveries, as well as cleaning and unpacking post install/delivery
Sales Associate
- Be proficient with POS system (general sales and returns, inventory, purchase orders, labels, work orders, gift cards)
- Receive inventory, price and develop signage when needed
- Greet customers and develop rapport
- Assist customers with design purchases and set up return appointments or in- home design consultations with appropriate designer
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree required; degree in interior design related field of study preferred
- Prior experience in the Interior Design industry preferred
- At least 2 years’ experience in an administrative assistant related role
- High proficiency in MS Office products, including MS Word and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Icovia, Evernote, and Design Manager preferred
- Additional working knowledge of SketchUp and CAD a plus
- Must possess a demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
Compensation:
- Job Type: Full time (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday and Saturdays – scheduled on rotation)
- Pay: $14-16/hour, based on experience

Project Administrative Assistant — Aiken
Nandina Home & Design is seeking a detail-oriented, efficient and motivated individual to support two busy design teams. This person must be reliable, focused and self-directed with a high level of initiative. A successful candidate will be open to feedback, collaborative, be highly resourceful, a natural problem solver and quick learner. This person must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment. This role will require a high attention to detail, the ability to work well with numbers, and consistent and thorough follow up. Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously are required.
This position will perform a number of duties in direct support of two design teams by assisting as follows:
Job Duties:
- Support design teams with inputting product details efficiently and accurately
- Review and stay abreast of vendor pricing to ensure all necessary tariffs, surcharges etc. are included
- Submit purchase orders for approved product being ordered and make appropriate documentation
- Receive order acknowledgement and effectively document, track, monitor and update the timing and future delivery of these orders
- Assist design teams by estimating future delivery possibilities
Requirements:

Warehouse and Delivery Coordinator — Atlanta
Nandina Home & Design is hiring a warehouse and delivery coordinator for their Atlanta area warehouse. This person will assist with daily warehouse operations and be responsible for managing the flow of deliveries received and organizing the product received in a timely and efficient manner.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified candidates will be responsible for the organization of and receiving/delivery of goods in the warehouse.
- Assist delivery staff to ensure the success of day to day deliveries and installations.
- Communicate frequently with corporate management and Atlanta delivery team, as well as the Atlanta design team to ensure accurate allocation of products in the warehouse.
- Supervise and assist with loading and unloading of products onto trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and be on your feet the majority of the day.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must have computer competency and working knowledge of MS Office as candidate will be required to use a computer for updating inventory and communication with staff.
- Must be a team player willing to work with the entire staff and be involved in all day to day operations while maintaining a positive attitude.
Job Type:
