Sneak Peek of Our Holiday Soirée
As you may have seen on our Instagram and Facebook (or in person!) the Nandina elves have been mighty busy this week prepping for the holiday season. This Thursday in Aiken, and next Thursday in Atlanta, we’re hosting our Holiday Soirée – and we hope you’ll join us!
How could you say no to hot cider, mini pumpkin pies, a great sale, and supporting a wonderful charity? Brenda’s Angels is a local organization that raises awareness of pancreatic cancer in memory of Brenda Willis Bodie. November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month, so we’ve decorated one of our windows with gorgeous panels of purple wings designed by Shelly Schmidt, and we’re giving back 10% of our holiday sales from the Soirée to support the cause.
Although the half of the windows are still very much in-progress, here’s a peek at one of the others. We attached flannel fabric and burlap strips to the wall, with resin faux antlers surrounding a large iron mirror. Our vintage leather and brass trunks found at Highpoint fit perfectly under the rustic console.
We of course decorated several Christmas trees throughout the store, but the biggest tree in the front of the store is a favorite. Burlap ribbon and a variety of textured ornaments lend a natural, Southern-inspired feel. Not all ornaments have to rest on the tree, you know – our new gilded metal snowflakes are hanging in the front windows.
Even Buster Brown is getting in the holiday spirit! To see the rest of our holiday decorating, as well as some creative tablescape ideas from our designers, join us on Thursday from 6-9pm in Aiken for our Soirée. Many other shops downtown will be hosting their holiday open houses as well, so be sure to visit our neighbors too!
