This project was focused on creating a multigenerational hunt camp. These clients, both authentic and down-to-earth desired to create a purposeful design that would emphasize family, nature, and true craftsmanship.

First and foremost, they wanted the lodge to be functional and not fussy; easy for their extended family to be able to relax and bond over their mutual love of the outdoors. Craftsmanship is present in every room, as evidenced by the custom-built, walnut live edge island bar top, cantilevered over the counter height work surface in the kitchen, and the metal-strapped, hand-hewn solid beam mantel in the great room, as well as a powder room that features an iron base fabricated in North Carolina and a live edge slab of granite sitting against a wall of an antique mirror. The incorporation of these beautiful design details and hand-crafted elements made this home a design award winner.
