Monday Makeover: Modern City Loft

It’s about time for another Monday makeover! This week we’re showcasing a fun, modern loft designed by Nandina designer Chanel Katic. Overlooking Piedmont Park in Atlanta, this pad is the perfect oasis in the city.  “We started out with a completely blank slate, which is always a fun challenge.” said Chanel, “Because it’s a rental, the walls had to remain white, so we brought it bright pops of color with rugs, furniture, and fabrics.”

We had a lot of fun pulling this space together and making it feel like home. It doesn’t always take a dramatic paint job to add color and texture to your space. If you are renting, colorful textiles are a great solution. We hope we’ve inspired you to tackle your own color challenges!

That is an awesome makeover, Susan. Many people think that it is always about the paint color, but that is just one option. There are already lots of design options that can help transform a place. Using textiles can really deliver amazing results. I love your work!
